Description
Thomas Barton Medoc 2016 deep garnet red with violet highlights. A seductive and complex bouquet combined with flattering dark fruits aromas (blackcurrant, blackberry), soft spices (vanilla, cinnamon) and coffee roasting. Exceptional balance between an intensely fruity and a well integrated oaky flavor. With smooth tannins and a long finish with seductive notes of coffee and chocolate. The wine Thomas Barton Réserve Medoc is a red wine produced in the Bordeaux region in France, by Barton & Guestier.
Food matches: Grilled beef, roasted leg of lamb with fresh herbs, tournedos, strong cheeses. Best at 18°C. Decant !
Serving temperature: 16-18°C (61-65°F).This is a very attractive red from the heart of Bordeaux; showing blackcurrant, dark plum, vanilla and cigar characters on the nose, followed by a beautifully weighted palate that is silky and polished. It is flavoursome and lingering to a fine, chalky finish.
This Medoc displays a deep ruby red with violet highlights, in the glass. Aromas are fruit driven with black cherry and blueberry. Delicate notes of mint, black pepper and liquorice appear when agitated. Good texture on the palate with ripe tannins, leaving a brilliant long finish.
